How Nostalgia Reading Has Shaped Me

And yes, I'm talking about Magic Tree House

Last September, I started rereading the Magic Tree House books. I started the series on my TikTok where I recapped the books from an adult perspective. When you look at the things these children were doing at the ye olde age of seven and nine, it’s kind of terrifying. Because what do you mean these kids nearly die by T-Rex, survive two wars in a week, experience the volcanic eruption in Pompeii, and nearly get buried alive during one of the biggest earthquakes in American history?

All unsupervised, by the way. And never once is therapy mentioned.

The series really took off and I had quite the dedicated fanbase to the point where people felt … a little too passionate about it.
